Creating a great video demo reel webpage
San Diego video production company, BizVid Communications, is like any other company when it comes to finding new business. We advertise. We are prudent to pick the venues that will best work for us. Once we interest a perspective client, we are obliged to show them samples of our work. To help us in that regard, we created a page on our website whereby a visitor can access samples of our work listed by category.

One of the categories is titled, “Corporate & Industrial.” When that category is clicked, the video demo begins automatically. This automatic playing is triggered by using the “autoplay=1” line in Vimeo’s embed code. Having an autoplaying video is important since often prospective clients will not bother to click a video but if it plays automatically, they’ll usually watch it even if they hadn’t intended to originally. Contained within our video is a brief snippet of a variety of business categories all of which provide a good example of our production expertise. It’s an industry specific demo-reel.
Often times, the video demo will pique the interest of the perspective client who might then request to see a longer version of one of the samples. And, of course, we oblige. This “sampling” has served the purpose of proving our merit to the client and their taking the next step (to contact us) is that much more meaningful for both parties since a stronger connection has been made in advance.
