How to Produce An Awards Show
Hello my blog friends….Caz Taylor and my partner, Bill Gruber, with BizVid Communications….a leading video production company in San Diego and Imperial counties. We are here at the Small Business Adminstration (SBA) and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) small business awards luncheon for 2015. For serveral years, Bizvid has been chosen and honored to produce the video and programming content for this prestigious event.
In addition to producing the video content, we facilitate its playback during the ceremonies. The SBA / SBDC awards banquet is a major event for small businesses in the San Diego and Imperial counties. Each year, an award is presented to outstanding businesses that are selected based upon the impact they have within their community and the leadership qualities that led to that success.
Prior to the event, BizVid spends about a month videotaping each of the award winners in their business environment. During the taping session, the owner is given the opportunity to talk about their business and the people and circumstances that brought them to the success they have today. Then, once the videos are produced and in finished form, we assemble them into a PowerPoint presentation for viewing on the day of the event. Because of our experience with this format, the transition from production to presentation is extremely smooth and effective.
It’s All About Team Work
BizVid Communications is just one of several local businesses that are asked to be involved in this event. The SBA is really good about spreading the wealth around in terms of supporting local vendors. This year, for example, local vendors were chosen to print the slick, colorful program and produce the classy looking award plaques. And we, of course, were the video production company of choice.
Congratulations to the sixteen winning businesses. We are proud to again be a part of this year’s festivities and are looking forward to working with these two fine organizations again next year. An event of this type is proof that BizVid Communications has the experience and capability of fulfilling any media obligation from full service video production to the overseeing of event media.
