Benefits of “How To” Video Blogs
BizVid is a video production leader in San Diego County. I’m Bill Gruber, one of the owners of this company. Today, we’ll discuss the value of archiving Video Production “How To” Blogs. Over the years, we have created quite a number of these brief videos for our website and other social media outlets. Of all the topics, we’ve found that the best received ones deal with “how to”.
Every month BizVid produces blogs to go on our website. Since I am the more technically savvy between my partner and I, it generally falls to me to produce this type of video. Topics help amateur video producers add polish to their productions. Topics include “How to create a linear wipe in Premiere Pro”, “how to eliminate noise with Adobe Audition”, “How to Blur Faces in Adobe Premiere Pro”, “How to create a gradient background in your video”, and the list goes on.
Below is a link to one of our more popular video tutorials. This is an explanation of how to create a scrolling movie credits in Premiere Pro. Though it may sound like a dry topic to make a video about, tons of editors who use Premiere are searching YouTube for the methods to do this every day. We knew that if we made a video that answered their question, we’d get their views. That in-turn exposes more people to our YouTube channel which is filled with helpful content.
When we post these kinds of videos on our blog and through YouTube, we are continually amazed at the interest in these very specialized topics. One of the more unexpected blog successes was a simple little video we did, describing how a clapboard works and what it does to synchronize audio and video together in a video session. We thought this was such a common process that it didn’t need mentioning. But once we posted it, many remarked at how helpful and informative it was.
Right then, we realized that some of the things we take for granted as long-time video producers are informative and invaluable to amateur videographers. If you want to expand your own video production knowledge, we invite you to navigate our many “how to” videos archived under our WordPress blog link on the BizVid Communications website. You’ll find our blog archives link at the top of our home page joined by our Facebook, Yelp and YouTube icons. Enjoy.
